The whole experience from the initial showroom visit until completion of the installation was totally professional in every aspect. Louise was excellent in providing all the relevant information in order for us to make the correct choice. Mark was first class with both his initial site visit and even more so during his detailed survey visit during which he provided very useful information regarding the french doors in our kitchen. We are extremely pleased with the installation especially the Palladion front door with the curved handlles. Ashley and Kane who installed the new windows and Palladio front door are a credit to Select Windows. As a retired Design Consultant I know the importance of doing my research before making big purchases. Due diligence checks reduce the chance of things going wrong down the line. I had already decided to avoid the national installers, preferring instead to give the work to a smaller local firm. The first two companies were unable to provide the necessary FENSA or CERTASS certification as is required when replacing doors or windows. Online investigations at Companies House showed them both to be in their first two years of existence. All companies have to start somewhere but I wanted the certification I was due. The third company we approached didn’t have the style of front door we wanted. Select Windows were the fourth company I approached to quote for the job of replacement front & back doors, living room bay and workshop windows. Mark visited us to measure for the quote. He explained our options clearly and seemed genuinely keen to understand what we wanted rather than what he wanted to sell us. We had a few follow-up questions so arranged to meet Louise at Select Windows’ show room. Again, clear calm and helpful without any pushiness. We commissioned the work with Select Windows, paid our deposit and the job commenced six weeks later as expected. Throughout my long career in manufacturing I’ve known many people who use hand tools in their work, some are skilled and some are not. Some work tidily and others leave ‘apprentice marks’ all over the job. Select Windows’ installers Ash and Kane definitely fall into the ‘skilled and tidy’ category. They sheeted up their access routes, covered vulnerable items of furniture and set about the work like glazing ninjas. The work was completed in just two days. Except for new doors and windows, they left no trace they’d been there, taking all the rubbish with them. All in all this has been a very pleasant experience. I’m happy to recommend Select Windows and wish them well.”
